WHO IS SWANACAL-LEG?
Our Team

For over 50 years, the Solid Waste Association of North America has been the leading professional association in the solid waste field  The association serves over 10,000 members throughout North America with over 1,100 of those members in California. SWANA’s mission is to educate, innovate and communicate.

The California Chapters Legislative Task Force (LTF) represents the three California Chapters on Legislative and Regulatory matters. The LTF is the voice in the Capitol and at regulatory agencies for California SWANA members. MORE INFO

THE LTF'S GOAL
goal transThe goal of the SWANA LTF’s advocacy program is to represent the interests of the solid waste profession by being a proactive advocate of environmentally and economically sound solid waste legislation and regulations. Central California Sierra Chapter

Founding Chapter

(Southern Chapter)

In December of 1961, Mr. Grant H. Flint, General Superintendent of Refuse Collection and Disposal for the City of Los Angeles, initiated a proposal for a luncheon meeting to explore the feasibility of forming an association so that proposed members could exchange ideas and share experiences unique to refuse collection and disposal.  MORE INFO
